The program supports residents' independence while offering assistance in specific areas without directly handling personal care, medications, or finances. Although we do not provide personal care or administer medications, we assist participants in tracking and obtaining their medications to ensure they have what they need, but we never handle the medications ourselves. Similarly, while we do not manage finances or control any funds, we do offer monthly reviews with participants and their families to help them assess their financial situation against a pre-established plan they choose as part of the program. This supportive approach allows residents to stay on track with their personal goals while maintaining full control over their finances and medication management.
We believe that supporting families who care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is essential to our mission. Families are at the heart of a strong support network, and we aim to empower them through a range of dedicated services. Our monthly check-ins provide a regular touchpoint to address any challenges, celebrate successes, and adapt our support to meet evolving needs. Additionally, our support groups create a safe space for families to connect, share experiences, and foster a sense of community. We also offer a wealth of resources tailored to help families navigate the complexities of caregiving, from educational materials to referrals for specialized services. Together, these programs reflect our commitment to strengthening and supporting families, ensuring they feel equipped and encouraged every step of the way.
